We headed back to Iowa for a fun Easter weekend with cousins, family and fun! This is a new favorite activity for the kids. They try to see how high they can make their pyramid.
Emelia had a great idea that if we created the base, our pyramid could get even higher!
Lauren and Liam headed to the golf course Egg hunt on Saturday morning. The older kids were "too old" for the egg hunt apparently.
ready to go
and they are off!
The older kids kept busy playing outside most of the day Saturday.
Saturday night my cousins, uncles and aunts came over to celebrate Easter. Lauren's been asking for a baby lately, so she was thrilled to get a little play time with baby Henry! He was just adorable.
she even showed him how to play for a little while
and then everyone was ready for the big egg hunt! They told Grandpa to make sure they were hidden REALLY well this year.
silly faces
big kids headed WAY out to find all the eggs
I kept closer to the house with Lauren, I think she may have gotten more eggs than the ones that headed way out.
my babies, how did they get so big?
checking out their goods
Easter morning
and the annual family photo (minus Luke who had to work the weekend, boo!)
the Langes! I think these 4 girls may have been the only girls in church in bonnets
We made it back home just in time for the neighborhood egg hunt Ava hosted. We literally pulled in the driveway and walked down to their house to hunt.
it was 20 degrees colder in MN than in IA...brrrr!
The neighborhood crew (minus the middle schoolers, too big to participate)
And then we finally headed home to see if the Easter Bunny had arrived. He did and the kids enjoyed digging through their baskets and grabbing even more eggs.
It was a fabulous Easter weekend and spring break but this Mama's ready to get back on schedule. :)
