busy week

We started off the week removing Dylan's training wheels from his bike.  He's been obsessed lately over whether or not every bike he sees has training wheels, so we thought it was time to give it a try.  We knew it would be high drama (because Dylan always is) but we reminded him...it would take LOTS of practice, he would definitely fall...multiple times and he couldn't give up.  I told him Sunday that by Friday he'd have it and if not, we'd put the training wheels back on.

Day 1 - not good
Day 4 (below) - much better.  He made it all the way from our driveway to the culdesac but can't turn around yet.
Today (Friday) - he can go up and down our street, turn around and go back.  The only thing he can't do on his own is get started.  Hopefully he'll pick that up shortly.  He's SUPER proud of himself and we're proud of him too.  He has multiple wounds on his knees, forehead and elbows to prove that he practiced.

We also hit up a little kids carnival with cousin Keeley earlier this week.  The boys had lots of fun in the bounce house and playing games.
Wednesday night we headed to the city for a little BBQ with more friends.  The boys have been missing their Geneva friends but slowly we are meeting more kids and they are having fun!
