We had some dear friends from Geneva in town this weekend and it was a blast. It was exhausting, but we'd do it again every weekend to see these kids (and us adults) have so much fun!
Lauren's 1st pony tail
Mason is a few months younger than Dylan and Addie is 1 day older than Lauren. Jessie and I were in the hospital together when they were born.
Blondie
These two started right back up where we left off last year. BFF's!
Day 1: Jessie and I took the kids to the pool while Drew and Luke golfed. Then we bbq'd and had a fire with smores.
a few neighbor kids heard the word smores and jumped in on the action as well :)
followed by some sparklers
she loved them! :)
and then I experimented with trying to get good photos of the sparklers...here are my tests...just in time for the 4th of July
Day 2: we headed out on the boat even though it's so flooded there's a minimum wake restriction (5 MPH). But we cruised, swam, fished and kayaked.
Addie wanted nothing to do with the water though
Then the girls headed to Keeley's 4th birthday party. My kids were exhausted all weekend since we let them stay up until 10 so they napped every single day. The boys were 2 hours in on a 3.5 hour nap, so they missed the party.

Day 3: We headed to Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis to actually show our guests "Minneapolis" since this was their first trip to our city. We had never been to this park as well.
the falls were huge with all the rain we've had recently
These rapids were going so fast and there was no barrier for the kids, kind of scary! We spent about 45 minutes exploring before it started down pouring.
Sunday night we all went to Dylan's baseball game, did a few more fireworks (per the kids request) and sang Happy Birthday to these two cuties (a few weeks early).
What a fun weekend! I napped yesterday...and today...trying to catch up on sleep. The kids had a blast and both said they want to move back to Geneva...or at least visit again soon! :)
