a week of baseball

Last week Dylan had a "baseball camp".  It was Monday through Thursday from 9-12.  I was a little concerned it would be too much for him and by Thursday he wouldn't want to go but he LOVED it.  And as an added bonus, he was exhausted and took a 3 hour nap every day following lunch! (yay for Mommy! :)
This day was "jersey" day, he's the one on the edge of the grass throwing the ball in the Vikings jersey.  The first day probably half of the kids had baseball caps on, the boys have never really been interested in wearing hats but he wanted one for day 2 and never took it off all week!

The camp messed up Miss Lauren's morning nap schedule but these two were troopers.  We didn't stay and watch the entire 3 hours but usually hung out about an hour and ran errands/went back home to let Lauren sleep the other 2 hours.
Will wanted to play (BAD!), also needed a baseball hat but survived with Mommy's phone! :)

Thursday was "game day"!  Dylan's team consisted of 4-6 year olds and they played somewhat of a "game".

 high fives for the coaches
fielding grounders...they didn't quite understand that only 1 of them needed to chase down the ball.
Dylan receiving his merit award at the end of the week.  I was proud of him, I think he learned a lot, made a few friends (which was good for him, he's super excited to start school to meet new friends), and had fun!
